Two great country houses of Cornwall's history Cotehele and Lanhydrock, both in the care of the National Trust.

Riding on Bodmin Moor. Golf on at least three local courses including St Mellion. Sailing and windsurfing at nearby Siblyback Lake. Surfing on the South and North coasts. Shark fishing from nearby Looe.

A vast choice and variety of moor and woodland parks. Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor are nearby. Coastal footpaths and cliff top walks. A host of beautiful Cornish gardens that are open to the public at certain times of the year.
